What started as an idea became a reality in 2019 with the very first HBCU Tour. The tour, which served a commitment to exposing youth to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), began to pave the way for these young people to envision themselves on these campuses. From this first HBCU tour, our student-led program, now known as Legacy Leaders of Tomorrow, was created. Our tours take place in October (Fall break) and March (Spring break) and is an all-inclusive experience that takes high school students from all over AZ and has also had students from California, Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina join us on this experience. The tour which is As of June 2023, we have reached over 1000+ students, had 274 students who have attended our HBCU tours, watched 100% of our high school seniors graduate from our program and have 70% seniors who are currently attending HBCUs, and we look to continue to provide amazing opportunities for our families and watch the lives of our youth be changed. “In order to reward a legacy, you have to seize the moment.”
